Third Conference of Practical Philosophy, 1 & 2 October, 2015
On the 1st and 2nd of October, the third Conference of Practical Philosophy will take place in the Unipark Nonntal. In addition to the two plenary of professors, Professor Monika Betzler (Munich) and Professor Corinna Mieth (Bochum), there will be approximately one hundred other presentations from all areas of practical philosophy to listen to and discuss.
On the Run
The Austrian Student Union and the city of Salzburg invited the University to attend the 29th Salzburg Lecture. From their direct experiences in the crisis and war zones, the ORF correspondents Mathilde Schwabeneder and Karim El-Gawhary offered insight into the dramatic situation of refugees.
Donations for Unaccompanied Refugee Minors
On the occasion of the Salzburg Lecture, “The Fugitive”, organizers of the University, City and Student Union Salzburg asked for donations to the SOS Clearing House Salzburg. There, underage unaccompanied refugees are housed who are supported and promoted in coping with everyday life and to learn German.
