18th and 20th April 2023 | Using his typically British humour, former ambassador Leigh Turner welcomes readers to the real world of diplomacy in his new book “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to Diplomacy – Wie Diplomatie die Welt erklärt”. Leigh Turner served as Queen Elizabeth II’s diplomatic representative in Vienna, Moscow, Berlin, Kiev and Istanbul.

The winner of this year’s photo competition “My stay abroad” is Liliya Veleva. The competition was organised by the International Relations Department at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg (PLUS). The most impressive photos of stays abroad were selected online by PLUS students and staff.

Prof. Thomas Blaschke, Professor at the Department of Geoinformatics at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg (PLUS), has been ranked tenth on the Research.com list of top computer science researchers in Austria. The research portal has also named Blaschke as Computer Science Leader for Austria in 2023.
