Florian Huber elected fellow of Society for Economic Measurement (SEM)
Florian Huber (PLUS) has been elected as a fellow of the Society for Economic Measurement (SEM). His exceptional achievements in the field of macroeconometrics have led to this recognition as a SEM Fellow. We congratulate our colleague Florian Huber and the other esteemed scholars who have been elected as SEM Fellows in 2023.

NOeG 2023 in Salzburg
The 2023 Annual Meeting of the Austrian Economic Association (NOeG) will take place in Salzburg form 28 to 29 September 2023. This year’s meeting is organized by Department of Economics of PLUS. SEMINAR SERIES ENVIRONMENT & BIODIVERSITY: Limitations of person detection dogs
2 June 2023 | In presence: The lecture addresses the question what timespan (detection) dogs are able to identify, find and follow human scent in an urban environment. We investigated together with the Austrian and Bavarianpolice the possibility of person tracking dogs to identify humans by aged scentsamples in the lab as well as in reality by laying trails along crossing with an agebetween one and 64 weeks. We also compared the efficiency of dogs traineddifferently to follow human tracks.
