5 April 2024 | in presence: “Imaginary Cosmography Revival in Late Joseon Korea: Circular World Maps and Their Early Chinese Sources” is the topic of this lecture by Prof Dorofeeva-Lichtmann from L’École des hautes études en sciences sociales, Paris, and the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science, Berlin.

On 19 March, St Barbara’s Cemetery hosted a lecture by the renowned religious scholar Martin Rötting in the Great Farewell Hall. The topic was Christianity and belief in the resurrection. The talk highlighted similarities and differences with the salvation beliefs of the major religions, as well as spiritual worldviews such as nature religions, shamanism and meditative approaches.
