Political Scientist Spilker Awarded the Ars Docendi State Prize
Gabriele Spilker, Professor of Empirical Research Methods at the Department of Political Science at the University of Salzburg, was awarded the Ars Docendi State Prize for excellent teaching at Austrian universities yesterday evening in Vienna. The prize is awarded in five categories each endowed with 7,000 euros. Spilker is the winner in the category “Learning outcomes examination culture and its anchoring in the course”
Salzburg Computer Scientist Receives Top-Class EU Funding
The computer scientist Sebastian Forster from the Department of Computer Sciences at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg has received an ERC Starting Grant for his fundamental research in the area of big data algorithms. His project has been funded by the European Research Council – ERC with 1.5 million euros for five years.
