Every Thursday, from 17:00 to 19:00, in Hörsaal 381 at Rudolfskai 42, a number of lectures on “Politics, History and Culture in Austria in the 20th and 21st Centuries” will be presented in English. The introductory lecture will take place on 8 October, and will be delivered by University Professor and Vice-Rector, Sylvia Hahn.

On Wednesday, 23 September, the University of Salzburg, in cooperation with the Emperor Shield Foundation, awarded for the fifth time the Dr. Hans Riegel Award for outstanding student work. This year, prizes were awarded for a total value of 3,600 €.

Due to recent events, the Department of Social and Legal Philosophy, the Department of Philosophy KTH and the Centre for Ethics and Poverty Research will offer later during the Winter Semester a philosophical seminar on the topic of Flight, Asylum and Migration. It is an ethical, social and legal-philosophical reflection of the current “refugee crisis” based on current philosophical texts and positions.
