Since the beginning of the winter semester 2021/22, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Simon Oertel has been heading the Strategic Management and Organisation Unit at the Department of Social and Economic Sciences, part of the Faculty of Law here at the PLUS.

Unfortunately, the PCR testing infrastructure in Salzburg is under strain, making it difficult for staff and students to provide the required test evidence. In order to enable more or less regular university operations, supervised antigen tests taken no longer than 24 h ago (e.g. from test streets or pharmacies) will be accepted as an exception from now until the end of this week.

The newly released book “Social Digitalisation. Persistent Transformations Beyond Digital Technology” presents a ground-breaking theory on digital transformation. This theory helps to analyse digitalization of social life more profoundly than analyses being based on digital technology. This perspective is highly relevant for empirical research which is concerned with the use and consequences of digital technology.
