Book to be restituted to the AK Library in Vienna
28 June 2022 | in presence: The University Library Salzburg will restitute a book to the Workers’ and Employees’ Chamber (AK) Library of Social Sciences in Vienna. The collection belonging to Victor Adler, one of the founding personalities of Austrian Social Democracy and the 1st Republic, came to the AK’s Social Science Study Library in Vienna in 1924. In 1938 the books were taken to Berlin by the National Socialist Party. After the war, one of these books came into the possession of the University Library Salzburg through a collection point for looted National Socialist items and will now be restituted.
