This year, the Knowledge Network Law, Economy and Labor, together with the Vienna Center for Legal Informatics (WZRI) of the University of Vienna, has organized what is now the largest and most important scientific conference in Austria and Central Europe in the field of legal informatics: the International Legal Informatics Symposium IRIS. The event will be held from February 21 to 23, 2019, at the Faculty of Law of the University of Salzburg.

By unanimous decision of the jury, Ass. Prof. MMag. Dr. Jörg Paetzold was awarded the Hanns Abele Prize of WU Wien for the best PhD thesis of the last five years in the area of “scientific fundamentals of economic policy”.

Markus Ellmer BSc MSc, a university assistant in Human Resource Management, was awarded the Best PhD Paper Award in Milan at the International E-HRM Conference for the PhD paper, written jointly with Astrid Reichel, “An affordance approach to eHRM-based employee voice”.
