Job opportunity: We are looking for a Research Assistant/ PhD Candidate!

The Department of Political Science and Sociology, Department of Political Science, at the University of Salzburg invites applications for a PhD position in the field of empirical research methods. 

  • Planned start of employment: 1 October 2020
  • Duration of employment: 4 years
  • Employment level in hours per week: 30
  • Working time: by arrangement
  • Monthly remuneration based on standard wage agreements: € 2.196,80 gross (14 times per year)
  • Areas of responsibility: scientific support in research and teaching as well as participation in administrative tasks; own scientific research including the writing of a dissertation in political science; starting in year three of employment: independent teaching of two hours per week per semester;
  • Employment requirement: Completed Master degree in political science; PhD candidate needs to enroll in the political science doctoral program of the University of Salzburg;
  • Additional qualifications desired: Interest and knowledge of empirical methods; ability to connect to research in the field of environmental policy or international politics at the University of Salzburg;
