A sophisticated bacterium: Helicobacter pylori regulates the host’s immune defense

Helicobacter pylori is one of the most successful pathogens, infecting its host for life and triggering chronic inflammation and gastric cancer. How H. pylori regulates inflammation and at the same time colonizes the stomach as a unique niche will be investigated in this FWF project at the Department of Biosciences and Medical Biology of the Paris-Lodron University in the “Microbial Infection and Cancer” group led by Prof. Dr. Silja Weßler.
