At a summer reception held by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Austria on 13 July 2021, the Austrian-Chinese Society for China Research ÖGCF, moderated by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Gerd Kaminski (State University of New York, Director of the Austrian Institute for China and Southeast Asia Research, Executive Vice President), presented awards to individuals from China and Austria who have made outstanding contributions to Austrian-Chinese relations.

Ms Judith Suchanek, who has been Head of the China Studies Center at the Paris Lodron University Salzburg (PLUS) for nine years, was also thanked and recognised for her services to Austrian-Chinese relations and presented with a certificate by Dr Heinz Fischer, former Federal President.

This recognition was signed by Dr Heinz Fischer, former Federal President and President of the ÖGCF, Mr Sebastian Kurz, Federal Chancellor of the Republic of Austria, Dr Helmut Sohmen, Chairman BW Group Limited and Honorary President of the ÖGCF.
