On November 25, 2024, Tijn de Vos successfully defended their dissertation titled “Graph Sparsification in Distributed and Dynamic Settings” at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg (PLUS).

10 December at 5:00PM (on-site) | Christiane Baumeister (University of Notre Dame) will present the paper “Uncovering Disaggregated Oil Market Dynamics: A Full-Information Approach to Granular Instrumental Variables“ in the next PLUS Economics Research Seminar. On November 20-22, the Department of Economics hosted the first PLUS Econ workshop, a forum for presenting and discussing current research in text analysis, survey experiments, and human-algorithm interactions related to policy making in the EU. Presentations by international researchers from the Ifo Institute, U Bocconi, U Cambridge, U Tor Vergata of Rome, and U Ulm made this workshop a great success!
