The Moving Mountain
is a transdisciplinary research project between the PLUS, Uni Graz and the UNESCO on mass movements in mountain ranges, such as those that occur during rockfalls. Univ.-Prof. Andreas Schröder is representing the department of mathematics. Landslide deposits represent special ecosystems and can form reservoirs for drinking water. Positive effects of the climate change therefore become visible in a unique way.
Jörg Paetzold receives exchange grant to study mobility behavior
Jörg Paetzold (PLUS) receives SNSF Research Exchange Grant to study the effects of free public transport on the mobility behavior of the population. In a current research project Jörg Paetzold is investigating the extent to which free public transport can help to facilitate a switch from individual transport (e.g. cars) to public transport (e.g. bus or rail).
