Prof. Dr. Silja Weßler from the Department of BIOMED and member of the Center for Tumor Biology and Immunology and the Cancer Cluster Salzburg will investigate in an FWF-funded project how H. pylori drives chronic inflammatory processes that can lead to gastric cancer by injecting the bacterial oncoprotein CagA into macrophages.

“Disputationes” heuer zu Ungewissheit, Zuversicht, Verheißung
Die Disputationes im Rahmen der Salzburger Festspiele unter der Leitung von Dr. Claudia-Schmidt-Hahn und Dekan Univ. Prof. Dr. Dietmar W. Winkler durchleuchten im Rahmen eines dreitägiges Symposion das Thema der “Ouverture Spirituelle”, die heuer unter dem Titel “Et exspecto – Ungewissheit. Zuversicht. Verheißung” steht. Hochkarätige Vorträge und Diskussionen u.a. mit Klimaforscherin Kromp-Kolb, Literat Trojanow und Philosoph Esterbauer.
