The University of Salzburg honors the lifetime achievements of Cultural Scientists and Egyptologists, Jan and Aleid Assman, by presenting the pair with the “Salzburg Hochschulwochen”Award.

“As a top ranking leader, Heinrich Schmidinger has worked tirelessly and successfully for the fundamental transformation of the Paris Lodron University into a modern educational and research institution that meets the highest national and international standards”, said Landeshauptmann Wilfried Haslauer in his ceremonial address on 28 July in Salzburg.

The reception will be held on Wednesday, 9 November, 2016, at the Faculty of Catholic Theology, Universitätsplatz (Salzburg), at 18:15 in the Kollegienkirche (Religion unifying prayer – designed by the Afro-Asian Institute Salzburg). At 19:00 there will be a reception in HS 101 of the Faculty of Catholic Theology (Universitätsplatz 1, EG).
