Meeting IGNTP (The International Greek New Testament Project):

„The Gospel according to John: Editio Critica Maior“

Forschungsabteilung Koptologie und Ägyptenkunde, FB Bibelwissenschaft und Kirchengeschichte, Salzburg.

A collaborative effort between the Institute of Textual Scholarship (University of Birmingham), the Institut fur Neutestamentliche Textforschung (University of Münster), Dr PJ Williams of the University of Aberdeen and Prof. Karlheinz Schussler of the University of Salzburg is working to produce the Editio Critica Maior edition of the Gospel according to John.

As part of the editorial process, new editions will be created of the Coptic, Syriac and Old Latin versions of the Gospel.

The project will also lead to a scholarly digital edition of the manuscripts of the Gospel in all four languages.

The results of this project will be discussed in seminars and meetings.
This year the meeting takes place in Salzburg, 26-30 March, 2007.
