Hans-Stegbuchner-Prize Award 2023
On Monday, 3 June 2024, the Hans Stegbuchner Prize for outstanding master’s theses was awarded for the 23rd time and this year to an employee of the Department of Mathematics. The event took place in the Dean’s Meeting Room at the Faculty of Natural Sciences.
Dr. Hans Stegbuchner, who worked as a university lecturer at the department from 1980 until his early death in 1998, is the initiator of the prize, which is nowadays sponsored by the Raiffeisenverband Salzburg. We appreciate this cooperation, which is now lasting for a decade, very much.
We were very happy about our guests of honour Mrs. Mag. Doris Stegbuchner, widow of the award initiator, Mrs. Lena Stegbuchner, granddaughter of the award initiator, Managing Director Martin Weichbold, Michael Porenta representative of the Raiffeisenverband Salzburg and of course to the award winner Dr. Ingrid Vukusic.
