On Thursday, 20 April 2023, the Hans Stegbuchner Prize for outstanding Master’s theses and dissertations was awarded to 3 students from the Faculty of Mathematics for the 22nd time. The event took place in the Dean’s Meeting Room at the Faculty of Natural Sciences.

Dr Hans Stegbuchner, who died in 1998 and was a university lecturer in the department from 1980 to 1998, was the initiator of the prize, which is now sponsored by the Raiffeisenverband Salzburg, whom we would like to thank for their many years of cooperation.

We are very much looking forward to welcoming our guests of honour, Vice-Rector Nicola Hüsing, Michael Porenta from Raiffeisenverband Salzburg and, of course, the prize winners Thimo Kasper, Miriam Schönauer and Michael Strunk
