ASEA-UNINET Project-Call 2024 (Project Funding)

The ASEA-UNINET Project-Call 2024 (Project period: 01.01.2025 – 31.12.2025 or 01.01.2025 – 31.12.2026) is now until 04. November 2024, 23:59 o’clock open.

The objective is to promote bilateral and multilateral projects in the field of research, research-led teaching or art between Austria and the following ASEA-UNINET member countries: Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. The call is open to all scientific disciplines.

  1. All universities participating in the project and receiving funding must  be ASEA-UNINET (Full-)Members or Candidate Members.
  2. Project applications must be submitted to the OeAD online (portal: STIP-Online).
  3. For more information please refer to the call guidelines,  ASEA-UNINET Important Information on Applying. Please notice that compared to the last calls there are many changes with the new call.
  4. An online information event will be held by the OeAD at 16:00 o’clock on Wednesday, 09.10.2024. If you are interested, please contact Rong-Rong Peng (Ext.: 2047) at the International Office for the Zoom link.

Action Austria-Czech Republic Call Autumn 2024 (Scholarship and Project Funding)

The ACTION Austria-Czech Republic supports the expansion of bilateral educational and scientific cooperation in all scientific disciplines. It promotes mutual understanding between the two countries by means of cooperation projects, scholarship stays for students, research stays for academics and participation in summer schools.

Action Austria-Hungary Call 2024 (Scholarship and Project Funding)

The Action Austria-Hungary promotes scientific exchange and cooperation between the two countries and supports learning of the two languages. Various scholarships for students, lecturers and researchers as well as project funding are intended to strengthen bilateral cooperation with the aim of developing sustainable relations.

Action Austria-Slovakia Call Autumn 2024 (Scholarship and Project Funding)

The Action Austria-Slovakia enables scientific exchange between the two countries and supports the learning of each other’s language. Different scholarships for students, lecturers and researchers as well as project funding support bilateral cooperation with the aim of creating sustainable relationships.

APPEAR 11. Call (Project Funding Programme 2024)

The 11th APPEAR Call is now open for the following: Academic Partnership, Advanced Academic Partnership, Extended Impact Partnership.

The program aims to strengthen institutional capacities in higher education and research development within Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Uganda, Mozambique, Bhutan, Palestine (West Bank only), Armenia, Georgia as well as with Albania, Moldova and Kosovo (special requirements apply).

The selected projects can start n spring 2025 at the earliest and may continue for a maximum duration of 2 years. The APPEAR III programme will end in 2027. Therefore, no applications for Preparatory Funding and Individual Scholarships will be approved under this call.

Taiwan-Austria 2024 (Project Funding Programme)

The Fundingprogramme Taiwan-Austria Call 2024 is until 15 May 2024, 12 o’clock open.

The aim of the programme is to stimulate joint activities and to contribute to direct collaborations among universities, higher educational and research institutions. Travel and accommodation costs of students and researchers as well as project-related material costs are financed during the one- to two-year project period.
