Language skills and proof for an Erasmus stay
In principle, a language level of B2 in the national or working language is mutually agreed between the partner universities for a student exchange within the framework of Erasmus+. This language level is automatically confirmed with the nomination by the home university.
In general, Erasmus+ does not require a mandatory language certificate. However, universities can request a separate language certificate on an individual basis. For more information on this students shall contact the International Offices of the respective university or check the homepage of the partner university concerning information for exchange Erasmus students.
If proof is required, you can use the EU’s Online Language Support (OLS), which is well-known within the framework of Erasmus+.
At the end of a language test, a certificate is made available for download. In order to find out, if the OLS certificate is sufficient and accepted, please contact the Erasmus partner universities individually.
