Master’s Programme in Transdisciplinary Studies of Climate, Environment and Energy (TRACEE)

Start of enrolment for innovative Master’s degree programme TRACEE

The new Master’s programme Transdisciplinary Studies of Climate, Environment, and Energy (TRACEE) trains specialists for global environmental and climate challenges. Students can choose from various fields of study, study at several universities and build international networks. The programme is coordinated by Stockholm University.

TRACEE offers a practice-orientated education aimed at understanding and solving complex climate, energy and environmental problems. The interdisciplinary curriculum integrates natural sciences, social sciences, humanities and law and promotes a holistic approach to sustainable solutions.
The University of Salzburg offers two specialised focus areas: ‘Environmental Humanities and Law’ and ‘Transdisciplinary Approaches to Climate Change’, with a focus on legal and ethical aspects of environmental policy.

CIVIS Alliance has launched a call for students, which includes around 50 BIPs offered at highly esteemed universities within our Alliance. These mobility formats offer a variety of courses in different academic fields. If you find a suitable BIP, do not hesitate to apply

CIVIS: Envisioning borderless education and research

Rectors and representatives of the CIVIS University Alliance convened at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg (PLUS) to formalise the creation of a new legal entity, the CIVIS Association. The gathering also celebrated the appointment of Stefan Lang, the University of Salzburg’s Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Digitalisation, as the first Secretary General of CIVIS—a great honour for the PLUS.
