Workspace: Call for Educational Activities in CIVIS
Time: Tuesday, September 24th 14.30 – 16.00
Location: Agnes Muthspiel Lecture Hall, UNIPARK/Erzabt-Klotz-Straße 1
CIVIS is actively seeking innovative educational proposals. This new CALL for educational activities launched in the end of July seeks to support proposals that showcase co-creation, challenge-baded learning, innovation, civic engagement and societal connectivity. Itaims to promote educational activities, such as joint BA degrees and Single Learning Activities (SLAs) in online format, Micro-credentials and COILs.We warmly invite all CIVIS & PLUS academics and interested staff to attend this information session. Your participation will bolster our ongoing commitment to an inclusivity and academic excellence.
This Workspace will be chaired by the CIVIS Head of Education Unit, Mr. Alexandru Cartis, from the Unviersity of Bucharest.

Workspace: CIVIS BIPs & Degrees
Time: Tuesday, September 24th 16.30 – 18.00
Location: Agnes Muthspiel Lecture Hall, UNIPARK/Erzabt-Klotz-Straße 1Blended Intensive Programmes combine online teaching with a short period of physical mobility, where students and teachers of at least three CIVIS university experience innovative new format of joint teaching and learning.
With around 140 BIPs, the participation of around 925 students and 190 academics, CIVIS is one of the most successfull European Alliances.
Check out the CIVIS website on BIPs to find out more on topics, locations and organisational issues.CIVIS aim is to develop Joint Degrees for students from across the Alliance.
Academics interested in how BIPs and Joint Degress are designed within CIVIS are very much invited to take part in this informative meeting.
This Workspace will be chaired by the CIVIS Heads of Mobility Unit and Education Unit, Mr. Lars Banzhaf from the University of Tübingen and Mr. Alexandru Cartis, from the Unviersity of Bucharest.

Joint & Transdisciplinary Teaching in CIVIS
Time: Wednesday, September 25th 14.30 – 18.00
Location: Agnes Muthspiel Lecture Hall, UNIPARK/Erzabt-Klotz-Straße 1Joint activties lead to joint programmes and degrees. But how can academics from different specializations and various universities offer students new methods and formats of teaching and learning? This session organized with the support of the CIVIS EG of Innovative Pedagogies is happy to welcome academics to share know how, ideas and experiences.
The first part from 14.30 to 16.00 will be dedicated to define the perimeter of a transdisciplinary approach, as well as its pedagogical scope, while the second part – starting after lunch break at 16.30 – will have a more practical character. The objective will be to facilitate the reflection on how to apply the concepts and tools of the first half in the development of concrete ongoing educational projects
Academics and teachers already acitive in CIVIS but also educators interested to become acitive in creating joined acitivites in the Alliances are highly invited to share experiences and ideas.
This meeting will be chaired by Mr. Enrique Martin Santamaria from the University of Aix-Marseille, Innovative Pedagogy Officer and members of CIVIS EG Innovative Pedagogies.

Cross Hub Meeting
Time: Thursday, September 26th 9.00 – 12.00 am
Location: 101 Lecture Hall, Faculty of Catholic Theology, Universitätsplatz 1Join us for this cross-hub workshop. Together, we will assess and design tools that will better support Hub members in their commitment to achieving our common vision for the CIVIS educational portfolio.
We’ll also reflect on how the Hubs can benefit from the CIVIS Open Labs and their extensive experience with working with local community partners. We’ll explore how this fits into the challenged-based approach for education and research, and how Hubs and Open Labs can collaborate to realise our shared ambition of greater societal impact.
The workshop will be led by Fanny Sbaraglia, Université libre de Bruxelles, and Pär Brännström, University of Stockholm.
