Focus
The Pacific region in general and East Asia in particular are world regions of outstanding economic and political importance. However, differences, especially in the areas of language, culture and society, pose particular hurdles for students who wish to study East Asia in particular. “Asia-Pacific Studies” offers an incentive and at the same time a guideline to seek this engagement. In addition to subject-specific courses offered by the Asia Pacific Forum and other PLUS institutions, students must also complete language courses in at least one East Asian language at the PLUS Language Center.
