Special efforts, totalling 8-14 ECTS, are required for the PhD studies. This includes, in particular, the following achievements:

• Holding of own, university, technically relevant courses
• Active attendance at international workshops, conferences and summer schools
• Publications in scientific, peer-reviewed journals that are related to the dissertation, but are not part of the cumulative dissertation
