Academic and Professional Functions
Research Interests
GIS and SAFETY is an actual and important application field of Geoinformation research
That special attention is directed toward establishment of Spatial Data Infrastructures (GDI/SDI) for the safety management.
One of the aspects of my research deals with standardisation efforts of the Open Geospatial Consortiums (OGC) .This belongs to my work the same as the collection of the need from practice (thus of emergency organizations, administrative authorities, guard services and safety companies, etc.). The harmonization of data structures stands thereby in the foreground, like the need in real life and practical applications of new technologies for the Safety Management. ( ex. RFID, WLAN and ZigBee for location based for services (LBS).
