In the Salzburg International Templar Studies Network scholars devote themselves on a multidisciplinary level to the study of the medieval Order of the Knights Templar. In addition to the legal-historical reappraisal of the dissolution process, the team is also currently focusing on scientific methods, such as the identification of a presumed Grand Master. Against the historical background, the following article describes the research findings to date, the working methods and the next research projects.
