Main Areas

In line with our development plan, the diverse research activities of our department can be divided into five main areas:

• General Educational Science. (focus: theoretical and methodological  foundations)
• Social Work and Social Pedagogy
• Educational Research
• Quantitative Research Methods
• Empirical Teaching- & Learning Research

The key areas of the faculty are not only reflected in the research projects and programs of the scientific staff, but are also significantly represented in the curriculum.  This combination of research and teaching through corresponding areas of study should be further emphasised in future curricula.
