Vita

Dionysis Gkiatas is an associate researcher at Paris Lodron Universität Salzburg. At the same time, he is currently a PhD Candidate in Social Anthropology at the University of Thessaly. He also holds a BA in History (2017-2021) and a MSc in Mobility Studies (2021-2023). He has worked at the Gender Equality and Anti-Discrimination Committee of the University of Thessaly, as well as at the Social Anthropology Laboratory of the same university. Also, during the period (September 2023-March 2024) he had worked again at Paris Lodron Universität Salzburg as a research assistant.He is a member of the Association of Social Anthropologists of Greece, the Association of Oral History, and the Volos Oral History Group. In addition, since 2023 he is the president of the Association of Postgraduate Students and Doctoral Candidates of the Department of History, Archaeology & Social Anthropology of the University of Thessaly.
