The Master’s degree program in business management and economics deepens the content of the bachelor’s degree with an interdisciplinary and methodical orientation, thereby conveying a critical approach to the content and knowledge of economics. The course consists of three compulsory modules (methods of economics, business administration, economics) and three interdisciplinary elective modules, from which students choose one depending on their interests and professional goals. The elective modules are (1) Empirical Economics and Data Science, (2) Accounting, Finance and Corporate Sustainability and (3) Management and Digital Transformation. The module Empirical Economics and Data Science is an excellent preparation to work as a professional in industry or to continue in our PhD program in Economics.

In the Master’s degree course in Law and Economics students deepen the knowledge gained during their Bachelor’s degree course with an emphasis on the field of business. Students can choose between four branches of specialization: Accounting and Taxation, Strategic Management, Finance Management and Human Resource Management. Students acquire comprehensive problem-solving competences for the respective professional fields. Depending on students’ choice of topic for their Master’s thesis, the education also allows a direct access to an advanced doctoral programme in Law and Economics.

The English-taught Master’s rogram European Union Studies is unique in Austria and aims at providing students with profound knowledge of European Union law, politics and economics. These are qualifications, which are increasingly relevant in today´s labor market. Emphasizing an interdisciplinary approach, the program tightly links research and practice. In study trips and specialized seminars it provides direct insights into the daily work of EU institutions, the possibility to meet practitioners, as well as to engage in negotiating current issues in simulations and moot courts. An international educational environment and attractive possibilities to study abroad further strengthen international qualifications.
