EurAsia Young Scholars Award for Research in East and Southeast Asia (Alpha+)

The thematic focus should be on the application of digital tools and methods to the study of cultural heritage, including topics of economic and social relevance. The aim is to enable younger scholars to gain significant personal experience in East and Southeast Asian countries in dialogue with local colleagues and institutions.

Eligibility

  • Doctoral students, researchers at the postdoctoral level at any academic institution in Austria (max. 8 years after completion of the doctorate, not counting parental or other forms of leave).
  • Funding can be used for travel, accommodation, per diem expenses of the applicant, as well as for other research-related expenses on location.
  • The stay in the country should be no less than two weeks. There has to be a demonstrable element of communication and scholarly exchange with local scholars and institutions. Funding may be used to enable individuals to attend Summer Academies organized by the COE in conjunction with its partners in East Asia.

Funding amount: max. 10.000 Euros.
Application deadline 15 September 2025 for projects to be concluded by 31 December 2026.

Hunting for Excellence – Stipendium

Die Dr. Franz Josef Mayer-Gunthof-Stiftung der Industriellenvereinigung vergibt auch 2025 Exzellenzstipendien. Insgesamt stehen heuer rund € 8.000 für Exzellenzstipendien – naturwissenschaftlicher und wirtschaftlicher Ausrichtung – zur Verfügung.

Hunting for Excellence – Stipendium

Die Dr. Franz Josef Mayer-Gunthof-Stiftung der Industriellenvereinigung vergibt auch 2025 Stipendien an Studierende, die kurz vor dem Abschluss ihres Studiums stehen.Unter dem Motto „Hunting for Excellence“ will sie zur Entwicklung von industrierelevanten Zukunftsthemen beitragen.

 Im Jahr 2025 wird eine finanzielle Unterstützung i.H.v. insgesamt rund € 8.000 bereitgestellt. Voraussichtliche Ausschüttung: 2 x € 2.500, die weiteren € 3.000 werden je nach Qualität der jeweiligen Ansuchen aufgeteilt.

Einsendeschluss: 06.10.2025

Die Stiftung hat sowohl eine wirtschaftliche als auch naturwissenschaftliche Ausrichtung. Sie unterstützt Studien zur Kompetenzbeschaffung und zur Vertiefung der jeweiligen fachlichen Fremdsprachenkenntnisse an internationalen Spitzeninstituten in Bildung, Wissenschaft und Forschung.

The Angela Krosik Award for Doctoral Study

The Anglo-Austrian Society proposes to make a further award for doctoral study, funded from the Angela Krosik Bequest. The award is available from the beginning of the 2025/2026 academic year. Applications can be submitted from 18th March 2025. Closing date: 30th June 2025.

Die Anglo-Austrian Society vergibt auch ein Doktoratsstipendium, das aus der Angela-Krosik Schenkung finanziert wird. Das Stipendium ist von Beginn des Studienjahres 2025/2026 verfügbar.

Bewerbungen können ab 18. Marz 2025 eingereicht werden. Abgabeschluss: 30. Juni 2025.
