Austrian European Law Day

the 14th Austrian European Law Day

On Friday 26 and Saturday 27 September 2014, the 14th Austrian European Law Day took place at the University of Salzburg. The Austrian European Law Day is not only the most important forum for the professional debate in the Austrian European Law community, but is also an important element for the functioning of this community as such.
Under the title “Loyalty and Solidarity in the EU”, the conference was devoted to the discussion of fundamental constitutional questions of integration and the rights and obligations arising from them for the member states, which have taken on particular significance with the financial and sovereign debt crises since 2008. In addition to the consequences of these crises, issues of competition law, social policy, administrative and criminal law as well as asylum policy and European citizenship were discussed.
