Sascha Kraus ist Universitätsprofessor für Betriebswirtschaftslehre und Lehrstuhlinhaber an der Universität Siegen. Er hält einen Doktortitel in Sozial- und Wirtschaftswissenschaften der Universität Klagenfurt (Österreich), einen Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering & Management derTechnischen Universität Helsinki und eine Habilitation der Technischen Universität Lappeenranta (beide Finnland). Zuvor war er als Professor an der Universität Utrecht (Niederlande), der Universität Liechtenstein, der École Supérieure du Commerce Extérieur in Paris (Frankreich), der Universität Durham (Vereinigtes Königreich) und der Freien Universität Bozen (Italien) tätig. Darüber hinaus hatte er Gastprofessuren an der Copenhagen Business School (Dänemark) und an der Universität St. Gallen (Schweiz) inne und war EECPCL-Participating Professor an der Harvard University. Das führende deutsche Finanzmagazin Wirtschaftswoche führt Professor Kraus in seinem aktuellen Ranking aller deutschsprachigen BWL-Forscher (2024) auf Platz 3 in der Kategorie „Aktuelle Forschungsleistung“ und auf Platz 9 in der Kategorie „Lebenswerk“.
Sascha Kraus is a Full Professor of Management and Chairholder at the University of Siegen (Germany). He holds a Ph.D. in Social and Economic Sciences from the University of Klagenfurt (Austria), a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering & Management from the Helsinki University of Technology, and a habilitation from Lappeenranta University of Technology (both in Finland). Previously, he held full professorships at the University of Utrecht (Netherlands), the University of Liechtenstein, the École Supérieure du Commerce Extérieur in Paris (France), the University of Durham (United Kingdom), and the Free University of Bozen (Italy). Additionally, he held visiting professorships at the Copenhagen Business School (Denmark) and the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland), and was an EECPCL-Participating Professor at Harvard University. The leading German financial magazine Wirtschaftswoche ranks Professor Kraus no. 3 in the category „Current Research Performance“ and no. 9 in the category „Lifetime Achievement“ in its 2024 ranking of all German-speaking business administration researchers.
