BIOECONOMY AUSTRIA SUMMIT 2023
November 7, 2023, 12:30 PM – 6:30 PM in St. Pölten
We – the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg and the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences – will be at the Bioeconomy Austria Summit 2023.
Reducing food waste has great potential for resource savings and significantly contributes to solving the climate crisis and the biodiversity crisis. The overall goal of the project is to implement Circular Economy Hubs in the food sector in five Alpine pilot regions to identify potentials against food waste and for CO2 reduction.
The involved stakeholders benefit, among other things, from knowledge transfer, networking, and the use of a digital, intelligent decision support system (artificial intelligence) based on lifecycle assessment indicators.
The measures are aimed at directly and indirectly involved stakeholders in food cycles, such as manufacturing companies, research and development, trading companies, the hospitality industry, and energy providers.
