Study assistant positions of 10 h / week are assigned at the department for the winter semester and summer semester respectively. Each working group at the department is assigned an assistant position.

The vacancies are advertised in the newsletter (for the winter semester in May/June, for the summer semester in December). Applicants can apply in general for an assistantship at the department or for a specific AG. The application documents (including curriculum vitae and academic record) are to be sent to the department head by email.

After the selection process is completed, applicants* will be notified by email.

Information about the employment:

  • Employment: Employment contract according to the Salaried Employees Act
  • Advertisement: Yes (newsletter, PLUS homepage)
  • Duration of employment: in principle from 1.10. – 31.1. and 1.3. to 30.6.
  • Employment extent: min. 10, max. 20 hours / week (at our department in principle 10 h / week)
  • Responsibilities: Primarily supportive in research and administration, but also supportive in teaching
  • Conditions of employment: a course of study offered or co-offered by the department in the relevant semestersemester and sufficient qualification
  • Remuneration: for the academic year 2024/2025: € 1,299,60 gross per month plus aliquot special payment (at 20 hours per week)
  • Insurance: full insurance Additional employment with the University of Salzburg is only possible up to a total of 20 hours per week
  • Employment relationship: Employment contract in accordance with the Salaried Employees Act

  • A further additional employment relationship with the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg is only possible up to a totalup to a total employment level of 20 hours per week.
  • Applicants with a Master’s degree or diploma in a relevant subject cannot be considered.
