Wolfgang Trutschnig is Professor for Statistics at the Department of Artificial Intelligence & Human Interfaces at PLUS and director of the IDA Lab. He mainly works on methodic and applied questions in the field of dependence modeling and nonparametric statistics and looks back to many fruitful and thrilling interdisciplinary projects with partners from industry and academia.
Christian Borgelt is Professor for Data Science at the Department of Artificial Intelligence & Human Interfaces and one of two vice-directors of the IDA Lab. He works on a wide variety of data analysis methods, with a special focus on frequent pattern mining and clustering. He is well known for a large number of free implementations of data mining methods, many of which have been applied in cooperations with industry.
Roland Kwitt is Professor for Machine Learning at the Department of Artificial Intelligence & Human Interfaces at PLUS and vice-director of the IDA Lab. His primary field of research is machine learning with applications in computer vision, medical image processing and other related areas. Roland has multiple years of experience in collaborating with partners from industry and academia, both on a national and international level.
Ulrike Ruprecht is the research, innovation and project manager of the IDA Lab. She has her scientific background in biology with a focus on biodiversity and evolution of cold adapted organisms.

Erika Diaz is the assistant project manager at IDA Lab. She supports various administrative and organizational tasks and applies her technical skills to continuously optimize the website and digital presence.
She is starting to study Artificial Intelligence at the University of Salzburg in the Winter Semester of 2024
